During his three-year stint with the luxury hotel, he has rubbed shoulders with foreign dignitaries and celebrities including the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and supermodel Cindy Crawford. Tan’s initial calling was in the hospitality industry when he started his career as Guest Services Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Hotel in 1999. ![]() In 2002, he joined Aspial Corporation (also known as Lee Hwa Jewellery) as the company’s Head of Department for Call Centre. ![]() Before that, he was appointed Head of Services for Cold Storage responsible for ensuring that customer touch points and services meet the highest standards. Tan also spent six years with Dairy Farm Singapore as the Head of Services and Training, out of which three years were spent in the Services, and Learning and Development department at Giant Hypermarket. During this time, he led the company’s business development strategy as well as customer services, working with clients such as McDonald’s, Burger King and Subway. Prior to that, Tan led the Services and Business Development Unit of Havi Logistics Singapore Pte Ltd, a logistics and distribution company, from 2008 to 2010. He brings 15 years of experience across various industries including hospitality, retail, FMCG, logistics, and recreation and leisure.īefore joining Genesis-Global Group in 2012, Tan was the Head of Services and Training at Sentosa Golf Club for three years where he was tasked to enhance the level of service and profile of the club. Due to the significantly lower prices of gemstones at the time when he began his collection, Tan has profited from the gains in valuation of his gemstones, and that prompted him to believe in the highly lucrative nature of gemstone investments, which became the cornerstone of his business as an Investment Jeweller.īesides collecting gemstones, Tan’s other hobbies are painting landscapes, reading, swimming and of course, jewellery designing.ĭennis Tan, Executive Director of Genesis-Global Group, manages the day-to-day operations in Singapore and oversees the company’s sales and marketing. Tan’s career began in 1996 with judiciary appointments in Singapore as a Deputy Registrar of the Subordinate Courts and Referee of the Small Claims Tribunals. During this time, he advised clients in the areas of public securities laws, corporate finance, cross-border mergers, joint ventures and acquisitions. Prior to that, he also served as the Head of Legal for various prominent MNCs, including the Energy Market Company, Singapore Airlines Cargo and Aviva Ltd from 2001 to 2012.īefore that, Tan was a senior lawyer with various major law firms in Singapore for two years.
